I’M A HUNTER VALLEY WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m Raquelle, it’s so nice to virtually meet you! I’m a Hunter Valley-based wedding photographer and the co-owner here at Wildwood.

A little bit about my personal photography journey, firstly, you should know that I come from a creative family, 2 professional photographers, and my grandfather was a deep-sea photographer capturing all types of sea life back in the 80's & 90’s so to say photography was in my blood would be an understatement.

I started my photography journey in primary school when I had the chance to join the photography club. I was blessed to be featured in the local newspaper at the age of 10 (that’s me on the left) and the following year winning my first award and as they say, the rest is histroy. Fast forward a few years and I have been shooting in the Hunter Valley for the last 6 years and currently capture between 30-40 weddings a year.

I feel inspired to share my knowledge and experience, to help new photographers on their own photography journey. I feel it is important to be on a continuous track of education so you are always honing your craft, moving forward and reaching not only your potential but finding joy in what you do.

THE WILDWOOD MENTORING DIFFERENCE 

We believe each person and business has different goals and aspirations, which is why we developed this program to personally suit you! We know that every business is multifaceted which is why we feel it is important to share our knowledge covering such topics as branding, social media, web design, SEO, marketing, pricing, sales, bookkeeping, client communication, portfolio building, technical aspects of shooting, making your clients feel comfortable in front of the camera, composition/framing, culling, editing style & consistency, deliverables and workflow.

Being a wedding photographer isn’t just about rocking up on the day and snapping a few photos, that is only 10% of the job, the rest of it is made up of customer service, admin and good business practices.

Our mentoring sessions are via Zoom, one-hour sessions over 4 weeks. This method is tried and tested and gives you the best chance at maximising your investment. Each week you will have a chance to put into place what you have learnt and uncover any new questions which you can then bring to the next session.

To get started, you will complete our one-on-one questionnaire and I will also have a look at your photography portfolio and website to get a holistic view of who you are and the style in which you shoot. This will then provide me with the information I require to design your personalised roadmap to success.
